ANIMAL SOUNDS
Is a neigh just a neigh?
by Clark James

When a horse makes a neigh, what does it mean?

Does a neigh mean nothing, or something much more?

Maybe a Neigh is a word that means many different things.

Maybe a neigh means my stable needs cleaning.

Maybe a neigh tells the pesky flies to go away.

Maybe a neigh is how a horse sings their song.

Maybe a neigh means "I would like hay for lunch today"

Maybe a neigh is how a horse says his prayers before bed.

Maybe a neigh is a word for beautiful green grass.

Maybe a neigh tells a baby horse to stay very close.

Maybe a neigh is a call to the sun, on a dark, cloudy day.

Maybe a neigh means "My birthday is tomorrow."

Maybe a neigh makes a horse feel calmer when nervous.

Maybe a neigh tells the butterflies it's safe to flutter about.

Maybe a neigh means "I would like my hair combed today please."

Maybe a neigh is just a way for a horse to say "I love you".

A neigh could mean so many different things.

A neigh must mean something, don't you think?

Maybe, just maybe, a neigh is just a neigh.

What do you think neigh means?
