EP101 - Integrity+Bravery - (pilot) “I Think I can!"

On the day of the town’s 100th birthday parade, Dan is set to lead the big event, but he might not get the opportunity when he defies Marge’s instructions to return for help after scouting out the coffer dam that keeps the town safe from flooding. Dan’s over-confidence inspires him to repair the failing dam without help, but the result threatens him and the town’s safety. Dan finds himself stuck between two major leaks and he needs help fast! Rusty overcomes an old fear of heights to help Dan to safety, save the town from the impending disaster and make it on time to lead the parade.

 

EP102 - Sharing+Betting - “No Bet is the Best Bet”

Dan acts irresponsibly and loses his entire allowance in a bet with Big D to see who can move the most dirt. Dan borrows money from his friend Marge to attend an outdoor movie, but when he fails to repay her, he learns that Marge needs the money for flowers to send to her sick sister, but she cannot afford it. Dan must choose between his own self interest and doing the right thing for his friend. Big D takes the opportunity to teach Dan a lesson by returning the bet money so Dan can help Marge cover the expense of the loving gesture.

 

EP103 - Blame+Honesty - “Gopher Broke”

The Elegant Old Car show is passing through town and Dan is responsible for patching a monster pothole in the street to protect the delicate tires of the old cars. Dan mismanages his time and cuts a few corners on the repair, but his haste backfires and causes the last car to crack a rim and blow a tire. Dan covers his tracks by telling a fib and blaming the town gopher for the poorly repaired hole. He must choose to make amends and use his own allowance to put the beautiful old car back on the road and regain the trust of his friends, and the innocent gopher.

 

EP104 - Honesty+Jealousy - “No Bones About it!”

Dan finds himself feeling jealous about Big D’s amazing stories of adventure, so when he digs up a mysterious object at a home construction site, Dan convinces everyone that he’s found an ancient dinosaur bone. His incredible tale brings a lot of attention, including the cover of the newspaper and the Mayor announces honoring Dan with an award for science and discovery. Dan must choose to come clean and tell the truth, because his great discovery is nothing more than a shapely old log.

 

EP105 - Confidence+Self Worth - “The Good, The Bad and the Muddy”

Little B’s flawed 3rd cylinder forces her to sit out of a big road cut and miss out on the action. Her self confidence diminished, Little B decides to run away. When Dan and the others discover she is gone, they set out on a frantic search, but find themselves knee-deep in mud and it’s up to Little B to find the courage and strength to pull her friends to safety, and choose to accept her great strengths and weaknesses equally.

 

EP106 - Vulnerability+Secrets - “Stacked Against Him”

Dan injures himself by tearing a small hole in a critical hydraulic hose on his front loader, but pretends he’s okay to appear strong and brave in the eyes of his friends. Dan's secret is slowly discovered by Little B when he leaves small pools of hydraulic fluid and drips around the Heavy Haulers yard. His secret comes to a head when Dan loses his strength at the critical moment he's lifting a heavy, precarious stack of lumber for a roof repair job. Marge arrives in the nick of time and protects the construction workers from injury as Dan’s bucket gives out and the wood comes crashing down.

 

EP107 - Capability+Patience - “Between a Rock and a Hard Place”

Dan is assigned the simple task of monitoring the dirt roads that lead into the forested mountains above town, but when he chooses to lift a heavy rock by himself, he finds his frame pinned down in the rising creek by a massive boulder that's lodged itself on top of his bucket. The Heavy Hauler team comes to Dan’s rescue and he learns a valuable lesson about believing he’s more capable than he thinks he is.

 

EP108 - Collaboration+Friendship - “My Way or the Highway!”

Dan and the Heavy Haulers are assigned the job of loading and hauling dirt from a new road cut to widen the highway over the mountain pass and straighten the road to create a safer drive. Dan decides to take Little B on a secret short cut, but they find themselves caught in a sudden blizzard and nobody knows where they have disappeared to. Dan and Little B must work together to stay warm and idle out the storm at the great risk of running out of fuel and freezing their radiators off!

 

EP109 - Self Worth+Illness+Friendship “Old Dogs Can Learn New Tricks”

Old Rusty the dump truck finds himself in need of a major overhaul after discovering that his 50 year old frame is about to rust in half. He believes his days are numbered and he chooses to ignore the pending disaster by giving up. His friends encourage him to get the repairs done because they need him, but he’s thrown in the towel and believes he has no more value to his team. When Russ smashes into a tree, because his frame snaps, his friends are terribly worried about his recovery. The structural repairs are made while Rusty is unconscious and he wakes to discover his loyal, loving friends at his side, and a new truck frame that’s strong and good for another 50 years of hauling. :)
